Episode 65 | Crossing the Threshold

Swept Together Podcast Episode 065 Mathematics of Love

We’re throwing back to our days of advanced math + physics, how Christian wooed Annabelle by sharing intellectual articles, and why you shouldn’t let the little things slide in your relationship.

Back in the day, Christian shared a Ted Talk with Annabelle about the mathematics of love and now we’ve turned it into a podcast because it’s the secret to why we “don’t fight.” Here’s what we covered:

  • How to mathematically avoid divorce (and the biggest predictor of it according to research)
  • What the negativity threshold is and why it’s vital to keeping your relationship healthy
  • Why how you fight matters more than how much you fight

I really loved this episode guys!! I feel like I am still working through reasons my last relationship didn’t work and  I think this negativity threshold thing played a big factor. I thought oh I’m the bigger person because I have a lot of patience for the things my partner did that annoyed me but maybe that was to my and my relationships detriment.  Check ins  for a future relationship are a good idea . 🙂 ReplyCancel
